100% sustainable, 100% eco-friendly

Foundations

The entire island foundation is constructed on blocks of plastic waste, the waste products are sourced from the oceans around the world. Each block is compacted and sealed into a specially design ecofriendly netting.
We strategically place gaps through the foundations of the island, this allows for marine life to utilise the foundations and prevents disrupting the natural currents of the ocean.

Sub-base

The polymer foundations of the island are topped with a layer of recycled subbase and then a layer of topsoil, this allows for rich nutrients to seep into the soil from the surrounding ocean whilst maintaining a slightly acidic soil level necessary for our rich vegatation.
The outer rim of the island is constructed on an inward gradient and populated with sand, this provides a pristine beach around the island which is abundant with crustaceans and visiting turtle.

Water

Water is collected from around the island and fed into a number of storage tanks in the foundations of the island, the collection tanks are strategically placed on the island and higher than all outlets, this means water is filtered and delivered by gravity and therefore requires no additional energy.

Note: Any similarity to any other island on Earth or known or unknown planetary satellite within the known or unknown galaxy is purely coincidental. No plastic was used, animals harmed or intentional distress caused to man, beast or inanimate objects in the creation of this website. This website is intended to highlight the hypocrisy of civilisation and desire to use and abuse natural resources but the reluctance to re-use the artificial products created to feed the unrelenting demand but instead to use the oceans of the planet as natural transportation to permanently and detrimentally effect us all.
